Layout Designer

Our Knoxville-based press, Marble City Press, designs a high volume of print wall calendars. We are a small family business, committed to accuracy, quality, authentic photography, and good vibes. We have grown our offerings by 40% annually, and hope to add books to our catalog this year. We are looking for a full-time layout designer with experience in print media, as soon as possible. Proficiency in InDesign and Photoshop is a must, as well as ability to stay organized while handling multiple projects. On our team, a designer will create calendar proofs, handle requested revisions, preflight them according to printer specs, and be available to handle any issues that arise during print approvals. We also need help managing stock images, integrating custom illustration files from freelance artists, designing graphics for our Amazon storefront, our website, and other marketing materials, as well as other design tasks associated with our product line. Ideal candidates are highly detail-oriented, collaborative, and able deliver high-quality designs with occasional tight turnaround. This will be a mostly-remote job, but we do need any new hire to be able to come into our office in Halls, north Knoxville, occasionally.
