Graphic Designer / Production Artist

Job Description A growing and innovative manufacturing company in Oxnard is seeking a Graphic Designer (Level I / Level II) to join its team. This is a hands-on, production-focused design role supporting product decoration, packaging, and customer-driven projects. This position offers the opportunity to grow into a senior-level or creative coordination role as the organization continues to expand. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and experienced in preparing production-ready artwork in a fast-paced environment. Position Levels Level I (Junior/Intermediate): 3–5 years of experience, strong foundation in design and production artwork Level II (Senior/Advanced): 5–7+ years of experience, ability to lead projects, troubleshoot production artwork, and support process improvements Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Artwork Production Create and prepare graphics for silk screen, laser marking, and other printing processes Develop production-ready artwork based on customer specifications and internal standards Maintain design files, templates, and digital assets Support packaging, labeling, and merchandising design Collaboration & Project Support Work closely with production, engineering, and sales teams to ensure manufacturability Assist with sample development and prototype artwork Review and approve artwork proofs prior to production Quality & Consistency Ensure all designs meet brand guidelines and quality standards Troubleshoot and resolve artwork-related production issues Maintain strong attention to detail across all deliverables Process Improvement Identify opportunities to improve design workflows and efficiency Maintain organized file systems and version control Cross-Functional Coordination Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors as needed Provide clear communication on timelines, updates, and deliverables QualificationsEducation Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field (preferred) Experience 3–7 years of graphic design experience (level dependent) Experience in manufacturing, packaging, or consumer products preferred Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar tools Experience preparing files for screen printing, laser marking, or production printing is a plus Skills & Requirements Strong visual design skills and attention to detail Knowledge of production-ready artwork and file formats Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Strong organizational and time management skills Additional Qualifications English required Spanish or Chinese language skills are a plus Why Join Us?
